Ruth Wildes Schuler was born in Salem, Massachusetts. She received a master’s degree in creative writing from San Francisco State University. She has had over one thousand poems, short stories, articles, and book reviews published around the world in small press magazines and anthologies in twenty-four countries and had work translated into nineteen languages. She published an international literary magazine, Prophetic Voices, for eleven years.

She is currently working on a collection of poetry about writers, artists, musicians, and the creative experience. She now lives in Novato, California, with her husband, Charles, and their two cats, Topaz and Salem.
